A Letter to my Carried Companion

You are 3 years and 6 months old and growing up fast.
You are my carried companion and it makes me sad to think that the end could be coming soon.

I cherish every up, as if it’s my last.
I make sure I cuddle you close, sniff your head and accept every slingy smooch you offer me.

When the day comes that you no longer want to be carried, I will have no regrets.

I have slung you when you’ve been tired, sad, or just wanted to be close. We have talked, played, explored and danced.

I have given you the support you need and the love you deserve. I can look back on our baby-wearing days with a full heart and enormous pride.
